Gender equality and social inclusion

One in three women experiences gender-based violence in her lifetime, while systemic barriers hinder meaningful participation in decision-making.

BRAC believes that everyone has potential, but not always the opportunities to use their own voice. We work to ensure that all BRAC International entities, programmes and enterprises, have mechanisms in place to actively promote gender equality and social inclusion throughout their work. We work to shift attitudes and practices to expand opportunities available to girls and women, support in strengthening these capacities among our staff, stakeholders and participants, and advocate for gender equality and social inclusion.
