Bridget Dougherty

Bridget Dougherty is the Managing Director of BRAC International Holdings B.V., where she has a governance role and provides strategic oversight to strengthen and support the maturing of eight financial institutions across Asia and Africa.
Dougherty brings over 18 years of experience, with the majority of her career spent in private sector development and financial inclusion. She began her career at Accenture where she managed and deployed large-scale system implementations for Fortune 100 and 500 corporations. Before she joined BRAC as a Programme Head in 2018, she was the Project Manager for the Partnership for Responsible Financial Inclusion at the Center for Financial Inclusion at Accion. Dougherty also serves as a Council Member for the UN Technology Bank for Least Developed Countries. She holds a BA in Economics and Spanish from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Bridget is committed to delivering responsible, client-centered financial services tailored to the needs of people living in poverty, especially women. She believes that investing in women is synonymous with investing in a country’s economic and social development, and that financial inclusion is a key driver empowering women to realise their full potential.
