BRAC International tax information

Stichting BRAC International (commonly known as BRAC International, or "BI”) was formed in 2009 as a non-profit foundation in the Netherlands, organised and existing under the laws of the Netherlands with its registered address at Zuid Hollandlaan 7, 2596 AL, The Hague. SBI comprises multiple programmes and modalities that work together to address the complex challenges of poverty and inequality, including development programmes, microfinance institutions, social enterprises, and the Ultra Poor Graduation Initiative, which promotes BRAC’s Graduation model to end extreme poverty. These programmes and modalities support our holistic approach, combining social development with market-based solutions to achieve impact at scale. BRAC Europe and BRAC USA are independent affiliates that are engaged in fundraising activities in European and North America markets. In each of these countries, the entities are legally registered with relevant authorities in compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

BRAC International will provide tax receipts for donations made directly to us through our website. If you make your gift online, you will receive an electronic tax receipt via email within the same day.

Refunds

BRAC International honors all requests for refunds, whether you have changed your mind or made an error. Refunds are available for 30 days after a donation is processed. To request a refund, please contact info.bracinternational@brac.net. Refunds are returned using the original method of payment. For example, if you made your donation by credit card, your refund will be credited to the same card.

How we use your gift

The gift options listed on BRAC International donation pages represent a small portion of BRAC International’s suite of proven programs that give people in Africa and Asia the access, tools, training and coaching to build hopeful futures. Your gift will be used where and when it is needed most as part of our holistic and innovative approach to giving communities the tools to lift themselves out of poverty. How we use your information

We take the security and confidentiality of your personal information very seriously. BRAC Internatinoal uses industry-standard secure socket layer (SSL) technology to protect your information. We will never sell, trade, or share your personal information, whether collected online or offline nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations unless you have given us specific permission to do so. However, we may disclose personal information to third-party service providers, such as payment processing and data storage and processing facilities, that assist us in our work. We limit the personal information available to these service providers to only that which is reasonably necessary for them to perform their functions, and we require them to agree to maintain the confidentiality of such personal information.

Email updates

We use a third-party email marketing platform to deliver email communications. This platform tracks open rates and click-throughs by using an email address as an identifier. You will be given the option to remove your name from our email list at the bottom of each email update. We will not sell, rent, or trade your email address to a third party.
